Last week, Citizen Action of New York joined with our allies in Occupy Albany and MoveOn to discuss the need to remove the corrosive influence of money in our politics.
The New York State Legislature failed to pass Fair Elections legislation that would have setup a public financing system that would have helped us move from our currently corporate-dominated elections. But we’re not done yet. We will continue to keep fighting for Fair Elections and will make it an issue in this year’s elections.
